In March 2022 with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions we are pleased to have been able to restart the Kids Co-op Program at Greenboro Pavilion.

We are also hoping to be able to run the Soccer Program in 2022. An entry level program with volunteer coaches, in three age groups, six weeks in May-June.

Since March 2020 the SKGCA has been able to offer two programs, specifically:

• Pushman Park Rink - Operation of the rink under contract with the City of Ottawa and 
• Yoga in the Park/Yoga Online - Free yoga sessions for families..

We have in the past also run Let's Lunch - A luncheon for seniors once a month. 

 Since March 2020 the SKGCA has only been able to offer limited events.

We have run the following events in recent years: 

• Winter Carnival - A Family Day event with outdoor activities
• Christmas Lights Competition - An online encouragement for well decorated homes in our community.
• Halloween Party - For families.
• Santa Event - For families.
• Pub Night - A social event for community volunteers.

Civic Affairs are all the things that affect our community, either directly or as part of the City of Ottawa. During our monthly meetings we have the opportunity to be briefed by Diane Deans and her team on issues, concerns, or good news related to our community. We also have the chance to raise things with Diane. Since March of 2020 our meetings have continued using Zoom video conferencing.

Some examples:

• Traffic Calming in the community.
• Policing.
• Rezoning of land for different uses.
• Residential and Commercial Developments. 
• Environment related items.
